Paul Gouin, journalist, politician, chose 23 historical figures from the time of New France, most of them very well known, and he dedicated a poem to them as well as a historical excerpt.
Paul Gouin (1898-1976), son of Sir Lomer Gouin, Premier of Quebec from 1905 to 1920, founded his own party, the National Liberal Action, then joined forces with Conservative leader Maurice Duplessis to found the Union Nationale.
